2. What Information We Collect
Information you provide directly

- Contact form: When you send us a message, we collect your name, email address, and message content.
Information collected automatically
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: We use Cloudflare's privacy-first analytics service, which does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track you across websites. It provides us with aggregate data about page views, referrers, and browser/device types. Learn more about Cloudflare Web Analytics.
- Google Analytics 4: With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our site. This service uses cookies. It is only activated after you give explicit consent via our cookie banner. Google's privacy policy.
Information we do not collect
- We do not collect payment information (all purchases happen on Amazon).
- We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Email addresses: To send you updates about the book series, including new volume announcements and occasional bonus content. If you contact us via the contact form, to reply to your message. Nothing else.

4. Cookies
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Some are essential for the site to function; others help us understand how the site is used.
Cookies we use
- Consent preference (
ta_cookie_consent): Your analytics consent choice is stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie). This is strictly necessary for remembering your preference and does not require consent. Duration: persistent until cleared.
- Google Analytics cookies (
_ga, _ga_*): Only set if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. Used to distinguish unique visitors and sessions. Duration: up to 2 years. Full list of GA4 cookies.
How to manage cookies
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies and revisiting the site — the consent banner will reappear. You can also block cookies entirely through your browser settings.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Cloudflare — hosting and analytics (privacy policy)
- Google Analytics — website analytics, consent-based (privacy policy)
- Email service provider — form submissions and email updates are currently delivered via Web3Forms, a GDPR-compliant form forwarding service that does not store your data. When we transition to a dedicated email service, this policy will be updated to name the specific provider.
- Amazon — book purchase links redirect to Amazon's website, which is governed by Amazon's privacy policy.
6. Your Rights
Under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR, and applicable data protection laws, you have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure — ask us to delete your data ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict processing — ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object — object to our processing of your data.
- Withdraw consent — withdraw your cookie consent at any time by clearing your cookies.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@tobynashwell.com. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Email Communications
If you sign up for email updates, you will receive occasional emails about new book releases and bonus content. Every email contains an unsubscribe link — click it and you'll be immediately removed. You can also email us at hello@tobynashwell.com and ask to be removed.
8. Data Retention
- Email subscribers: We retain your data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your data is deleted within 30 days.
- Contact form messages: Retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Analytics data: Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, then automatically deleted. Cloudflare Web Analytics does not retain personal data.
9. Data Security
This site is served over HTTPS with TLS encryption. It is hosted on Cloudflare's global network with built-in DDoS protection, bot mitigation, and security headers. As a static website, there is no database or server-side application to compromise.
10. Children's Privacy
